The Pine Bluffs Town council met in a regular session last Wednesday at 6pm. Other than the regular consent agenda items and agenda approval the meeting was pretty quick. Some of the points that were reviewed were: A resolution was passed that appointed Mayor Justin Fornstrom to the Wyoming Municipal Power Agency Board of Directors. The Hornets football team almost had the perfect season. Except for a single loss to Lingle/Ft Laramie the Hornets won every football game that they played. Some of the games were pretty lopsided in their favor but every game was a showcase of the their determination and skill. Jessica Hoffman, the hard hitting and blocking specialist on the Lady Hornets volleyball team has been awarded WHSAA All-State Honors. This is the second year in a row for the hard hitter to receive such honors. On Monday, November 11th the Pine Bluffs High School honored the local veterans with a breakfast and assembly. The Breakfast was held in the Elementary School gym, and was attended by approximately 20-25 veterans and their families. This plaque had not been updated since 2016. Kaitlynn Schnell, a junior at Pine Bluffs High School, swims for the Cheyenne South swimming team. Schnell, who swims the 50m and 100-yard freestyle took first place in both races qualifying herself for the state tournament this weekend.
