At approximately 5:45 a.m. Monday morning, the Bushnell Volunteer Fire Department received a call about a home on fire, located 12 miles south and two mikes west of the village. Fire Chief Dave Miller stated he was in contact with the occupants of the home, who reported the fire, at 5:50 a.m. His department arrived at the scene with a tanker/pumper and two tanker trucks, and two grass rigs transporting some of the members of the fire department who arrived on the scene. The Pine Bluffs Lions Club has been busy taking part in International Service Week, inducting new members, recognizing students of the quarter, and getting ready for their annual Easter Egg hunt. At the Feb. 17 meeting, local lions welcomed two new members, Carol and Alvin Milton. Laramie County School District No. 2 held the first of two public meetings last Thursday, at Burns High School, to receive input from parents with children in district schools about the proposed four-day school week, which would begin with the 2015-2016 fall semester. After some rumors that has the proposed Pine Bluffs Veterans Memorial and Community Plaza nothing but a vague memory, Larry Silvey, who is heading up the project, says it is still alive and well, and after a meeting of LEADS in Rawlins on May 28, he will know whether the grant for the project is supported. The construction is done, the building is finished except for a few minor touches, and soon the move begins from the temporary home of the Tri-County Medical Clinic on Main Street back to it’s home on the corner of Elm and Fourth St. But the clinic will not be moving back into the old, circa 1959, building, but into a brand new, completely modern and updated 4,600 square-foot facility. Angela Robertson, former director of the Pine Bluffs Senior Center, surrendered herself to Pine Bluffs police on Thursday, Feb. 5. Robertson posted bail and was released on Friday. According to Officer Char Madden, who began an investigation into missing Senior Center funds back in November, a warrant was issued last week for Robertson’s arrest for Felony Theft of Greater Than $1,000. The Pine Bluffs Medical Clinic, formerly known as the Tri-County Medical Clinic, will host a grand opening and open house Friday, Feb. 13, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The new facility is located at 117 E. 4th St., in Pine Bluffs, and tours will also be available during the celebration. What started out as a call about a missing juvenile quickly turned in a drug bust involving Kyle Adams, 19, of 103 Main St., in Pine Bluffs.
