Bump and splash is what you hear from the volleyball courts. The 29th Annual Trail Days Coed Mud Volleyball Tournament was played on Sunday August 8th out at the Pine Bluffs Distilling area. The engines were revving up for 11th Annual Covered Wagon Car and Bike Show at the Knotty Pine Saloon after the parade on Saturday. Alas! Our Tuesday Trails are complete for the season. July 20th was the last Tuesday Trails for the summer. The Pine Bluffs Recreation has been taking groups of people on hikes on the different trails through the bluffs. On this Tuesday morning, fifteen youth and adults went to the bluffs for an exploratory expedition. June 17th is a day that I won't forget. That day was my first response to a CAD call which was to assist EMS to help rescue a longtime friend. I arrived at the station and nobody was there but two cars parked which means that EMS had already left to respond to this call. This weekend was a time to remember Bill Cushing. He was a man that helped the community with his family. On Friday July 23 the Pine Bluffs and Burns libraries gave Mary Cushing a plague honoring Bill Cushing, who was allways helping with the reading programs.
