The development standards are finally complete and other projects are being worked on in Burns. The Burns Town council met on July 24th. There was a hearing for the public to make comments on the development standards before the meeting. No one showed up to the hearing. Years of being is involved in the church and pastor since 2001, Pastor Dan DeBruyn is now retiring from the Crossroads Community Church. Throughout the years DeBruyn has had different jobs that has helped him to be a pastor. Each one was a step to be able to help others in need. Laramie Country Fire District #6 in Burns, Wyoming was elated to receive a new fire engine. Fire District #6 covers the areas of Burns and Hillsdale for fires and other emergencies. On July 13th Burns welcomed a new 3000 gallon Western Star Tender into their fleet. Last year they received a new fire truck for the Hillsdale fire house. The first weekend in August has been a time for Pine Bluffs to celebrate once a year. Time has gone by fast but it's exciting to be a part of Pine Bluffs celebration for 73 years. The grand Marshal for Pine Bluffs Trail Days is Leanne and Dan DeBruyn. They have been in the community for years. Leanne and Dan have been married for 45 years this year. The Albin Town Council looked at two building permits to be approved at the meeting on July 13th at 7:00 p.m. They checked about the insurance, also. The council is happy that people are not just building without permits. The council put an ordinance in about building permits in the spring, now permits are coming into the town hall. We've had a great year for rain, especially after the drought of the last two years. Here it is almost mid-July and I've only watered twice and that was just to start new plants.
