A fatal crash on March 6 has resulted in the death of 17-year-old Kiersten D. Larson of Carpenter, Wyoming. The crash occurred at 6:00 a.m. near mile post 383 on Interstate 80 eastbound, approximately three miles west of the Burns/Carpenter exit. Larson was driving a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound on I-80 when the vehicle initially veered off the interstate to the north. The Wyoming Highway Patrol investigated 52 crashes statewide from 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 25 through 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26. Seventeen crashes were classified as involving injury, 33 crashes were classified as property damage only, and two crashes were listed as hit and run with property damage only.
