    Construction on the Pine Bluffs I-80 Marginal Bridge Reconstruction project continues. Detours and road closures for demolition of the existing structures will significantly impact travel in the project area over the next week.     Wyoming residents who have completed hunter education instructor certification in the last three years are invited to sign up for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s annual Hunter Education Instructor Academy. It will be held August 21-23 at the Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp near Dubois.   • Suspected pipe bomb found near Burns proves harmless

    A section of I-80 just east of the Burns-Carpenter Interchange was closed for about an hour Wednesday while bomb squad personnel investigated a suspected pipe bomb found beside the highway. A WYDOT maintenance worker found a section of galvanized pipe about 14 inches long with end caps sitting just off the pavement beside the westbound lanes of I-80 about one-half mile east of the interchange.     Invitations have been readied and sent to graduates of East Laramie County High Schools – Egbert, Hillsdale, Burns and Carpenter (EHBC) for the 65th annual alumni banquet.     Both residents and nonresidents alike can fish for free with no license required all day in Wyoming on June 6. The free fishing day was authorized in 2003 by the Wyoming State Legislature.
