The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will host the Fifth Annual Wyoming –National Archery in Schools Program (NASP®) State Virtual Tournament Feb. 18 to March 1. The tournament is open to fourth through twelfth graders who compete in elementary, middle and high school divisions. The tournament allows the young archers to shoot in their home gym and record their scores on-line. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department reminds hunters and anglers that most 2012 licenses and stamps are no longer valid in the new year. The one exception is for 2012 elk licenses that are still valid in areas with elk seasons extending into January. Even though their 2012 elk license is valid in January, hunters are reminded that the 2012 conservation stamp has expired and a new one will be needed to participate in January elk hunts. Time to apply for limited-quota spring turkey draw The deadline for hunters applying for a spring turkey license for one of the limited-quota turkey areas is Jan. 31 for both online and paper applications. For 2013, hunt areas 6, 8, 10, and 13 are limited-quota areas for the spring hunt. For general license areas, hunters may send in applications during January.
