    The Pawnee Coyote track team completed its season with three members going on to compete at the state tournament in Denver. The times that Luke Duggan had were the season's best times. Girls that went out for track were Afton Zitek, Emily Ellis and Brandi Vigil and Brooke Mercer. During the season, Vigil had the best in the high jump (3-11).     With the sound of a gavel, the Wyoming Legislature wrapped up the 2014 Budget Session, March 6, at the State Capitol in Cheyenne.At the start of the Session on Feb. 10, a total of 306 bills were numbered for introduction. The Wyoming Legislature passed a total of 132 bills. Of the 122 bills numbered in the Senate, the body introduced 101 pieces of legislation with 71 of those bills passing in both the House and Senate.     Within the Burns First Presbyterian Church courtyard lies a 460-pound cast iron mystery. Excavation of the First Presbyterian Church in Burns started in March of 1909, and a dedication held on March 5, 1911. Along with the building came the bell. The origin of the bell is unknown, according to church members. The bell was removed from the church in 2007 because high winds on the structure caused the roof to leak.     The Laramie County Sheriff’s Department has been made aware of another phone scam that is using threats of arrest if individuals do not “pay a fine and fees” for missing jury duty. The Sheriff’s Department and Clerk of the District Court’s Office have received reports from citizens who had a call from an individual claiming that the victim missed jury duty and must pay a fine and fees otherwise a warrant would be issued and they would be arrested.
