    The Pine Bluffs-Burns cross country team continued its season last week in Kimball with several strong finishes from both the boys and the girls squads.   • Council approves dog bite ordinance, snow removal plans

    Pine Bluffs town council members on Tuesday passed an ordinance that would make it illegal for pet owners' dogs to bite people. Currently, the town does not have an ordinance on the books regarding dog bites. The ordinance came about as town officials were exploring modifications to the town's bond schedule.     The Pine Bluffs Senior Center Board will have at least one vacancy for this year’s election. Voted on by the senior center’s members, board members oversee the operations of the facility which has 212 members.     Hornets fans will be able to stream all Pine Bluffs home volleyball and football games along with some away games. Players’ family and friends who live out of town will be able to watch the Hornets play by accessing an online link. The service requires a small fee.     The Burns Lady Broncs didn’t let a slow start ruin their weekend when they traveled to Douglas for their first volleyball matches of the year.     With recent hailstorms impacting Laramie County, the county clerk’s office is reminding residents to obtain salvage titles for vehicles that have been totaled in the storms. According to Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee, the law applies exclusively to vehicles with a Wyoming title with model years of 2011 or newer.     Pine Bluffs town offices will soon be moving to a consolidated location. Specifically, the town’s municipal building will be moving across the street from its current location at 220 Main Street.     Monday voted to absorb a retirement system contribution rate increase for public employees. Contributions will increase of increments of .5 percent over the next four years, leading to a total increase of 2 percent, Pine Bluffs Treasurer Kim Patterson said during Monday’s town council meeting.     Over a 10-day period, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne issued 95 total warnings. As a breakdown, that's 74 severe thunderstorm warnings, 14 tornado warnings and seven flash flood warnings. Compare that to a low of eight warnings issued in 2009, all severe.
