    The Pine Bluffs Hornets capped off an impressive year with a third-place finish at the Wyoming High School State Track and FIeld Meet in Casper over the weekend.     Maddie Fornstrom capped off a stellar sophomore campaign with all-state honors in the pole vault at the Wyoming High School state track and field meet held in Casper over the weekend. Fornstrom vaulted to a height of 9-06.00. But that wasn't the only success the sophomore experienced during the three-date meet.     The Burns Lady Broncs finished their 2018 track and field season with a fifth-place finish at the state meet in Casper held over the weekend. Malli O’Neal took fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.43. Sophomore Piper Perez was sixth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:30.18. In the same event, Layne Burnett finished eighth at 2:32.44. Burnett had better success in the 1600-meter run. She finished third with a time of 5:46.83. Perez also earned a top-eight in the 1600.     Larry Silvey got a pleasant surprise Tuesday afternoon. The Pine Bluffs resident was running errands when he drove by Veterans Memorial Plaza in Pine Bluffs. Silvey, the driving force behind the statues depicting service members at the plaza, has been working to install a mural at the plaza that shows famous American landmarks while also honoring veterans.     Town of Pine Bluffs department heads will revisit assessing fees at the public swimming pool following passionate pleas from concerned citizens at a regularly scheduled town council meeting Monday night. The council voted last month to assess $1 fees for youth and seniors and a $2 fee for adults. On Wednesday, several Burns Broncs headed up to Scottsbluff, Nebraska to compete in the Best in the West Invitational meet.     Last week, the Wyoming Recreation and Parks Association held its annual workshop right here in Pine Bluffs. In the past the event has been held in Casper, but that changed last Thursday. The workshop was one of two annual events the association holds each year, the other being the annual conference.     Several strong performances in Pine Bluffs landed Burns a third-place finish at the Pine Bluffs invitational track meet Thursday, April 19.     A Cheyenne woman faces more than a dozen charges after she was arrested following a high-speed pursuit that ended near Egbert last week. According to a Wyoming Highway Patrol press release, Natsha Jo Dawn Patnode, 29, was arrested late Tuesday night following a pursuit that originated in Cheyenne. The previous night, Patnode was observed traveling 104 mph in a posted 75 mph zone on Interstate 25.
