The Laramie County School District No. 2 (LCSD #2) recreation board is asking that requests made for grant monies be submitted to the central administrative building in Pine Bluffs no later than 4 p.m. Feb. 1, 2017. According to the district, the LCSD #2 Board of Trustees approved a 1.0 mill at the budget hearing July 11, 2016. This was approved on the assessed valuation of the school district to be used for recreation opportunities within the boundaries of LCSD #2. The Pine Bluffs Junior-Senior High School newspaper is still being produced by four dedicated students along with their advisor, but the newspaper has found a new medium in reaching its' readers. The Burns – Pine Bluffs wrestling team competed in the Bison Bonanza Duals Tournament last Friday in Cheyenne. Also participating were teams from Wheatland, Torrington, Cheyenne South, Shoshoni, Rock Springs, Laramie, Evanston, Douglas, Cheyenne East, and Cheyenne Central.
