Each year, the Wyoming Department of Education releases a list of teachers of the year for each school district. For Laramie County School District 2, that honor went to a popular man around Pine Bluffs Junior-Senior High School: Dustin Lee is the 2019 LCSD 2 Teacher of the Year. Lee currently teaches Spanish at PBJHS, where he's worked since 2005. Monday voted to keep a bill repealing most gun-free zones in to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Sponsored by Sen. Anthony Bouchard, R-Carpenter, Senate File 75 would give the Legislature the sole authority to regulate guns in public places. Kyle H. Wilkins, 35, of Pine Bluffs died Jan. 7, 2019, at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. He had been battling cancer. Pine Bowl hosted the Annual Team Challenge for the 23rd consecutive year. Participants came from all over the tri-state area. Bowlers from Greeley, Colorado, Alliance, Kimball Scottsbluff, Nebraska, as well as from Cheyenne and Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. This is a double elimination tournament that spanned two days worth of bowling.
