Board member Todd Fornstrom inquired whether the buses in the current fleet will also be retrofitted with external...

The grand opening of the new clinic was held last Friday afternoon with members of the Cheyenne Regional M...

After 51 years in media, it was easy to see myself in their faces, only a half century earlier. They were embarking on a career that might last as long as mine has – but i...

Pine Bluffs senior Jaden Ragsdale, 18, has signed a letter of intent with Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas. The college, located 40 minutes north of Amarillo, offered Ragsdale a nearly full-ride scholarship and the chance to play college volleyball. “I enjoy basketball but I've really enjoyed volleyball. It just comes naturally to me, I enjoy playing it and I have seen myself playing in college for the last five years,” Ragsdale said “Its hard to pass up a scholarship like that and I like the Texas atmosphere down there.” Ragsdal...

News, Notes, and Nonsense Good morning all, hope you had a nice Valentine's Day! We had a nice dinner here at home, with candles and all. Fresh flowers and chocolate, can't beat that. I happened to be in the school Friday afternoon, and witnessed many little ones heading for the bus with bags and boxes decorated for the day. I asked one big brown-eyed kindergartener if she had candy in her sack. She smiled at me and held it a little closer. Guess she knew that thing about me and chocolate!...

This week at the Hereford Community Church no one was scheduled to do a special, so the congregation sang The Old Rugged Cross, and Pastor Opdycke did a Valentine reading by Billy Graham. The sermon topic was What Are You Busy About? T...

The spacious rooms were beautifully decorated with strings of pink, red and white crepe paper hearts and more hearts. About forty young people were present including the League members and a good many invited guests. Early in the evening music on the Player piano and Victrola entertained the assembly. A large red paper heart with a small white one in the center for a...
The past couple of weeks I attended No till On the Plains winter conference and the Colorado Conservation Tillage Association’s High Plains No-till Conference. I enjoyed both conferences and felt each had a lot to offer. After getting home and taking some time to think about what I learned, it dawned on me that nobody told me anything about how to farm. Not one speaker told me how deep to plant my corn, what herbicides to use, or what crops to plant. I still left both conferences with k...
