This weekend was the official “spring forward” for this year, and I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am guaranteed to be exhausted for at least the next few days while I try to convince my brain that it is actually not an hour later than it’s supposed to be, and I did not actually lose an hour of sleep. As the Wyoming government once again decides the fate of the use of daylight savings time in the state, I was curious as to how this whole thing even got started. On July 1, 1908, in Port Arthur Ontario, the two hundred plus citizen...

On Sunday, at the Snyder Family Benefit in Burns that definition was cemented in the form of financial, emotional and communal support. Our "particular area" ranged from Fredrick, CO to Wheatland, and from Cheyenne to Mitchell, NE. When Mandy Snyder dropped her kids off at the bus stop on a Monday in January, she could have never imagined that when she arrived...

It’s in the air. I smelled it this morning. Did you? It’s coming. Not quite here yet, but Spring is on the way. I went outside this morning and there was a very different feel and smell to the air. It’s not something I can describe, but it’s something that I know. Spring and the change of seasons has a certain feel to it. Spring is nearly here. With Spring comes the anticipation of the gardening season and the question now becomes, “What do I do to get ready?”. This time of year, there really is a lot of opportunities for education and prepara...

Kimberly J. Patterson Structure, commitment, rules and regulations in the United States Air Force life was not a new routine for Kimberly J. Patterson. Patterson made the change to the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, and joined the Air Force ROTC program. Appying herself, as she had learned in Catholic schools, advancing was a goal she had set. Graduating in the top one percent of her class, earned Patterson a regular commission in the United States Air Force in 1988. Erin Callahan...

The boys were able to sweep Kemmerer with a 70/59 win on Friday giving them a chance to move up to the next slot where they faced Rocky Mountain. The boys fought hard and gave up almost nothing, but in the end t...
