The Pine Bluffs girls and boys track teams both took third place in the Guernsey Invite Saturday in a spectacular meet, said Coach Dustin Lee. “It was a great day for a track meet,” he said. On April 11, Burns Bronc track teams headed to Chappell, Neb. to compete in the Tri State Track Meet. The boys team tied for first with Bridgeport with 123 points. The girls team received fourth place with 91.75 points. In all, the Burns Broncs placed third with 214.75 points at the meet. Last summer, farm ground was put up for sale and the Pine Bluffs Town Council saw it as an opritunity. Bill Shain, Mayor of Pine Bluffs, said the North Wells project will use the land to switch the irrigation wells to municipal wells. The minicipal wells will combine with the town’s water system. The wells will be part of the town water supply. Shain said the town has plenty of water, but he would like to use these wells to ensure future supply.
