    Students from Burns and Pine Bluffs High Schools headed to Cheyenne last week to compete in the 91st Wyoming State FFA Convention and several students had success. Burns’ first success came on the second day of the convention, held April 18 - 21 came when Layne Burnett received reserve champion, or second-place, in creed speaking.     The United States Military Academy at West Point, NY has accepted Pine Bluffs High School’s Wyatt Fornstrom into the class of 2022. Fornstrom will join approximately 1,100 other future cadets from around the nation at the world’s foremost leadership academy.   • Laramie County to test emergency outdoor warning siren system

    The Cheyenne and Laramie County Emergency Management Agency will test the outdoor warning siren system at noon Friday for all emergency sirens located within the county. The system will sound a steady signal for a period of one to three minutes. During an actual emergency, residents are advised to take cover immediately and tune into a local radio or television station as soon as safely possible upon hearing the siren in order to receive additional emergency information. On Wednesday, several Burns Broncs headed up to Scottsbluff, Nebraska to compete in the Best in the West Invitational meet.     It has been nearly a year for the re-established Pine Bluffs Cub Scout Pack 109 to be up and running. The newly reformed pack started out with approximately 12 members and have grown to 15 members losing a couple along the way. Pack 109 was nominated for several awards through the district.
