Jose Levario, age 70, passed away in a tragic accident, near his home north of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. He was born February 16, 1954 in Mexico. Jose had worked in Texas and Colorado before arriving in Wyoming in 1990. He worked for the pig farm in Albin, Wyoming. He also worked for Memo Serrano in his fencing business and Margarito Gomez in his concrete business. He worked on the farm of Jack and Jeannie Hockersmith and for elderly residents in Pine Bluffs. Troops of Boy Scouts will be descending on Kimball, Nebraska for the 2024 Frontier District Invitational Spring Camporee on May 17th through May 19th. The Frontier District consists of Cheyenne, Laramie and Wheatland area Scouts but an invitation has been sent out to Scouts in the surrounding Nebraska area to attend this year’s Spring Camporee. It was a busy night at the Burns council meeting on May 13th. There were lease issues, law enforcement, and concerns about a park and Main Street. The council and the Utility board was sad that Harvey Humphrey put his resignation in for the Utility board. Humphrey has served on some position in Burns for many years. To have him resign was sad. The Broncs track and field team is riding high as they head into Regionals. The team has won four meets over the season and has some great athletes who have been dominating their sports. The Lady Broncs took to the road and headed north to Sundance to compete in the Wyoming 1A-2A East Regional track meet. The Lady Broncs did well as a team finishing fourth in the meet.
