    A family celebration was held Sunday afternoon as the town of Grover sent off its class of 2013 graduates from Pawnee High School.     Louis E. Canady American Legion Post No. 60 was in charge of decorating the graves of every serviceman buried in the Pine Bluffs Cemetery in advance of Monday’s Memorial Day remembrance.     Norma Jean Hanson (Heigis), 80, of Cheyenne, died on Friday, May 24, 2013, in Cheyenne with two daughters, Sherri and Kevin Pyle and Kathy Schnell, and her grandson, Chad Heigis, all by her side. She was born on Dec. 6, 1932, in Big Timber, Mont., to Don and Georgia (Farthing) Reese. Norma married David Heigis and had seven children. She later married Ronald Hanson in 1973 and they owned and operated Green Acres Café in Pine Bluffs for several years. Norma finally moved to Casper in 1980 and...

LCSD2 requested to be on the agenda to address their concerns with the differences in the track standards based on the specific classification of school.     Neil Williams took an early lead in open bull riding as the =G Rodeo Series got underway at the Pine Bluffs Arena Friday night. He stayed seated the full 8 seconds earning a score of 61 for 6 points. Chase Stricklin could not be shaken and exceeded the needed 8 seconds to garner a score of 68 in the steer riding event.     Pine Bluffs Senior Center director Angie Robertson would like to clarify the article written last week about the Pine Bluffs Senior Center. In regards to our funding, the Senior Center receives federal and state funding. Grant funds have been cut the last two years and are expected to be cut for the next several years. What does this mean to our center? It means that with the funding shortfalls we will have to recoup these funds in other ways.
