A person never wants to have to call for help. But if a person needs it, they would like to have reassurance that it is available. The Albin Ambulance Board and crew held a fundraiser on May 25th at 6:00 p.m. In the past the ambulance EMT's would have a hamburger dinner for people to donate, but this year was full fundraising event. Having spent my youth as a babysitter and a career in pediatrics, I was pretty comfortable in watching the developmental of babies, toddlers and young children. Two local track and field athletes bring home three state titles from the Wyoming 2A State Championship Track and Field Meet, one from Burns and one from Pine Bluffs. The Hornets sports season ended with another trip to the state championship. The Hornets track and field team had several members qualify for the state championship tournament this year. Members like Mitchell Birkhofer, Shawn Shmidl, Carsten Freeburg and Jesus Solis just to name a few. The team did well and made a good showing.
