    A man died Tuesday morning while working at a dairy farm near Carpenter. According to a statement on the Laramie County Sheriff's Department's Facebook page, the unidentified man was killed while working at Burnett Enterprises. According to the sheriff's office, the man, along with one of the business owners and two electrical contractors, entered a well house to make repairs.     A still-lit cigarette contributed to a fire that severely damaged a home in rural Laramie County Monday. Firefighters from Pine Bluffs, Carpenter, Albin and Burns were dispatched to a home located on Road 158 at 4:03 p.m. Monday. Scott Zimmerman, the home's owner, said the fire was caused when a resident attempted to extinguish a cigarette in a bucket. Zimmerman said the person thought the bucket had water in it.   • Town will allow fireworks in July

    Pine Bluffs residents will be able to set off certain fireworks during three-day period in July. On July 3, 4 and 5 residents can enjoy ground-based fireworks and sparklers. On July 3 and 5 fireworks will be permitted within town limits until 10 p.m. July 4, they will be permitted until midnight. “This allows everybody an opportunity to take their kids and shoot off some fireworks if they so please,” Pine Bluffs Police Chief Justin Trout said.
