The Burns town council closed out Monday’s meeting with a seat still vacant for a new council member. Two possibilities were submitted with tie votes causing a dead nomination for both. It is unsure at this time whether or not council will continue to take applications for a new member, or if they will have to hold a special election to fill the seat. Several of our residents braved much warmer temperatures and an almost three and a half hour delay to get a glimpse of the Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 as it rolled into Pine Bluffs on Monday.
