    Burns residents are excited to have something new in the community. The Burns Community Center was started in February for residents to be able to have activities and meetings for social gatherings. In the last few months the Burns council had worked on getting a senior center in Burns. In the past there was a senior center for the residents to have food.     Recently at the monthly meeting of the Pine Bluffs Ambulance Service there was some additional training held. EMS staff participated in a full scenario involving a patient in cardiac arrest. According to Patrick Currie, Director of the Ambulance Service, meetings and training are held monthly to keep their skills sharp.     The Laramie County Clerk’s office will accept candidate applications for school and college boards of trustees beginning Weds., Aug. 7, through Mon., Aug. 26.     Beau Scarborough, a Pine Bluffs High School graduate, qualified to compete in the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. Scarborough competed as a permit member and did very well. He did not finish in the money but just missed finishing in seventh place. His first ride scored a 70 and his second ride was a 74. Scarborough was then honored with a third ride in the rodeo.
