    PINE BLUFFS, WYOMING – The High West Energy Board of Directors has unanimously selected Jared Routh to lead the co-op as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager. High West's previous CEO stepped down at the end of March to accept another position. Since then, the Board began conducting a three-month nationwide search for the organization's next leader.     Shirley Ann (Ward) Daugherty, 92, passed away on July 9, 2021, in her home with family by her side. Shirley was born on May 21, 1929, in Oconto Nebraska to Martha and Roland Ward. She was raised in Oconto and Alliance, Nebraska. On February 15, 1947, she married William Daugherty.     Cheyenne, WY (8/3/21) – The City of Cheyenne has detected the first pools, or group, of mosquitoes to test positive for West Nile Virus (WNV) this year in Laramie County. The test was confirmed by the Wyoming State Veterinary Lab. The infected mosquitoes were collected from traps near the North Cheyenne Community Park during the week of July 26th as part of the City’s ongoing mosquito surveillance efforts.     Trail Days has started with Hornet Basketball Youth Camp on August 3rd at the Pine Bluffs High School gym. It will continue on to August 5th.     Alas! Our Tuesday Trails are complete for the season. July 20th was the last Tuesday Trails for the summer. The Pine Bluffs Recreation has been taking groups of people on hikes on the different trails through the bluffs. On this Tuesday morning, fifteen youth and adults went to the bluffs for an exploratory expedition.
