Marjorie Lynn Simineo, 60, passed away peacefully at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne on Thursday, July 25, 2013. She had tenaciously fought gallbladder cancer for several years even though she was initially told she only had six months to live. Margie was born May 17, 1953, in Casper, the daughter of Thomas and Elaine (Head) Stewart. She grew up and attended school in Casper. She married Charlie Simineo on Dec. 27, 1975. A local Pine Bluffs farmer leads a trail of wheat shaft dust Monday afternoon as harvest in our area hits the downturn. Wyoming Wheat Marketing Commission director Keith Kennedy estimated in his last wheat harvest report that 55 percent of Wyoming’s 145,000 acres of winter wheat had been harvested. Over 100 contestants ages 4 through 18 competed in the Trail Days Rodeo on Saturday. Despite the chilly weather, organizers called it a fantastic turnout. The youngest cowboys and cowgirls did some sheep and calf riding. The =G Rodeo concluded another season at the Pine Bluffs Rodeo arena Friday night. Several season buckle winners also won their events Friday. Steer rider Chase Stricklin was one such rider. Twenty-seven teams participated in the 21st Annual Trail Days Coed Mud Volleyball Tournament The first place team members all received a Coed Mud Volleyball Champion T-shirt for their victory. Trail Days began Wednesday evening, July 31, with dinner and a show. The authentic chuck-wagon feed outside the historic high school attracted many with the warm scent of peach cobbler. The class of 1983 celebrated their 30 year class reunion on Aug. 2, when Stu and Katt Fornstrom hosted an ice breaker party/BBQ at their house.
