For the special this week at the Hereford Community Church Shirley Wiggin read a children’s book called “Jesus and the Twelve Dudes Who Did.” The sermon title was “Our Lord’s Return” In Romans 13:11-14 Paul is telling the people to live properly. In our time, just like in their time, we are to be looking for Jesus to return and living for Him. In 2 Peter 3 Peter is telling the people to not forget what the prophets said would happen. Hello out there in Banner County! Wow, how much busier can it get? Wheat harvest is still in motion in a few places around the county, but should be finishing up pretty soon. Cynthia Shroyer, Pine Bluffs Post staff|Aug 8, 2013

There’s a lot to be said for familiarity and comfort. And for the things that cause fear and chaos. We all have a pair of jeans that are so full of holes you really shouldn’t wear them out of the house, a T-shirt that is stained and stretched to the point of no return. Or slippers that have the mark of puppy teeth and a good washing won’t help how dirty they look. We have familiar songs we love to listen to, old favorites that bring back good memories. Movies we can watch over and over again, sp...

  • No till notes - cover crops, parts 2 and 3

    Mark Watson|Aug 8, 2013

Cover crops have proven to be an intriguing production practice in modern agriculture. Cover crops have also proven to be equally perplexing. Let’s take a look at everything I think I know about cover crops, which is a little, and all that I don’t know which is considerable. What has gotten me so interested in cover crops and especially cover crops grown for grazing cattle is the testimonial I’ve heard from farmer/rancher friends of mine and others I’ve listened to at meetings who have some am...
