In this day and age the question many people will ask themselves when it comes time to vote is whether or not their vote even counts for anything. That question is especially relevant when it comes to Wyoming’s optional one cent tax, or in this area better known as the “six penny money”. Although many folks will faithfully show up to the polls whenever they are open, not everyone will understand exactly what they are voting for especially when it comes to the propositions that often come at the end of the ballot. Hopefully, this will clari...

I've gardened in soil since I first started well over 40 years ago. I've had my share of successes and more than my share of failures, just like most everyone. Some of my failures were entirely my fault (i.e. forgetting to water) and some were beyond my control, such as the hailstorm a couple of years ago. I was in the shop when it started and opened up the door to see what all the noise was. I remember just closing the door and telling myself, "well, no more weeding this year." Everything was...

On August 9, 2019, at about 9:50 a.m. two fire trucks were dispatched to Blair St. at the 400 block in response to a fire there. When they arrived there was a shed actively on fire. Firefighters were worried that the neighboring houses could possibly catch, so they worked quickly and had the fire our in about 20 to 25 minutes. No one was hurt, and there was no obvious cause of the fire, so as of this date there is still no determination. On a side note, the LCFD #5 would like the residents of Pi...
