The Pine Bluffs Senior Center Board will have at least one vacancy for this year’s election. Voted on by the senior center’s members, board members oversee the operations of the facility which has 212 members. Laramie County Community College’s Outreach Center in Pine Bluffs will offer a variety of classes for everyone this fall. Courses will range from ways to earn a college degree without going into debt to a one-time lecture on Amelia Earhart, the female pilot who mysteriously disappeared in the 1930s. Hornets fans will be able to stream all Pine Bluffs home volleyball and football games along with some away games. Players’ family and friends who live out of town will be able to watch the Hornets play by accessing an online link. The service requires a small fee. Though not all away games will be streamed, a good number of the teams that Pine Bluffs plays also utilize the service. For example, Big Horn High School uses it. Marilyn R. Sisson, 86, of Pine Bluffs passed away August 12, 2018 in Pine Bluffs. She was born January 28, 1932 in Elm Creek, NE to Jerome and Blanche Walker. I don't know about your garden, but I'm starting to see a lot of color in mine. That means that harvest is coming sooner rather than later. I ended up planting two to four weeks late this year, but the harvest seems to be coming almost two weeks early with the tomato varieties I planted. The Burns Lady Broncs didn’t let a slow start ruin their weekend when they traveled to Douglas for their first volleyball matches of the year. Burns went 4-2 during the two-day invitational tournament. In their first match against the Lady Bearcats, the Lady Broncs went 0 - 2, losing their first game 10-25 and their second 5-25. Runners from Pine Bluffs and Burns started their cross country season in Casper Friday, Aug. 24 with reason to be hopeful about the upcoming year. “This is a great baseline time and hard meet to gauge the rest of the season from,” coach Ashley Rousseau said in an email.
