    The Laramie County School Board District 2 has been having extended discussions at the Committee of the Whole meetings and the school board meetings. This has been parents, students, teachers, and health workers telling their sides. The last meeting was on Monday September 13th at 7:00 p.m. at Burns high school.   • Trailer Thieves strike in the Pine Bluffs area

    In the last month in Pine Bluffs two trailers have been stolen. One was a utility trailer and the other was a box trailer. The box trailer has been recovered but the thieves were working on covering the trailer with a new paint job. As for the utility trailer, it is still out there. Pine Bluffs Chief of Police Chance Walkama said, “Recovering the trailer is exceedingly difficult.     The town of Albin held their monthly meeting on September 9th at 7:00p.m. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kelly Krakow. The previous minutes were approved.     The Pine Bluffs Senior Center is gearing up for their annual meeting. They are looking for a new board member this year. Anyone that is over eighteen years old can put their name in for the election by September 24th at 1p.m. Candidates do not need to live in Pine Bluffs to be on the board.     The Burns Lions Club held a fund raiser for first responders on September 11th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Burns town hall gymnasium. It was a busy night for the town of Burns. At Liberty Park was the last Burns Farmers Market. The homemade breads, canned vegetables, farm raised eggs, goat cheese and milk were set up in booths.     The Pine Bluffs/Burns cross country team ran in the Kimball Meet last Friday. According to Coach Rousseau, "Yesterday was one of the hottest meets we have ever attended. We went through three cases of water and two five gallon coolers of water as well. Despite the heat, our kids still raced well!!"
