This last week saw a beautiful day for the annual Fall Festival at the Pine Bluffs Community Center. While the first 100 guests were awarded pumpkins, there was also a raffle to give away benches and chairs that were carved from fallen trees in the area. Winning numbers went to Braxton Clark for the wagon, Kamrin McNulty for the stump chair, Samantha Wallace Lopez for the small bench, and Nate and Paulie Dunnam for the large bench. Phyllis Minnick died on October 7, 2019 at home, with her daughter, Lani, after a short battle with cancer. She was 81. She was born in Kimball, NE on June 25, 1938 to Charles and Leila Strube. Phyllis grew up in Pine Bluffs and spent most of her life in Southeast Wyoming, also having lived in Oregon and Arizona. The Burns Broncs were able to pull out another win this last Friday against our own Pine Bluffs Hornets. With a final score of 48/3, the Hornets struggled to make it down the field. The Broncs managed to pick up 313 rushing yards this game, and 204 of those belonged to #34 Boe Clayson. Last Friday, the senior girls celebrated their last game on home soil for the season. After four years of dedication, hard work, and teamwork the seniors of Pine Bluffs Jr/Sr High pulled together to win their last home game in just three sets. Last Friday was also senior night.
