Glen Crumpton requested to install a radio system on the water tower to alleviate some of the dead spots for the emergency responders hand held radios. The Utility board approved, with the stipulation to work with the Burns maintenance crew, however approval was given to proceed not the final installation. Good news for the voters opposed to the Bond Election on November 7. Out of 42088 voters or 22.28%, there were 3861 votes for the bonds and 5505 votes against. Per Laramie County Community College's website the feeling was not as delightful. While we are disappointed that the college's bond election for the new buildings and structural renovations did not succeed, we respect the decision of the Laramie County voters. Donald L. Eggli, 84, of Pine Bluffs, died Tuesday, October 31st at his home. He was born May 8, 1933 in Havens, Nebraska, a son to Roland and Martha (Born) Eggli. Don graduated from Fullerton High School in Nebraska, after high school he enlisted in the United States Army. He then attended trade school in Milford, Nebraska. Community colleges across Wyoming take turns hosting competitions each month and scholarships, plaques, and medals are awarded to the highest scoring teams. Trading her volleyball uniform for a uniform in the United States Air Force, was a strong choice, with no regrets for MSgt Erin Callahan. She gave up college and a volleyball scholarship upon graduating from high school in El Reno, Oklahoma in 1997 and went into the medical field of the Air Force. The United States Marines turned 242 years old. They celebrated in Pine Bluffs with a ceremony and the placing memory bricks for fallen veterans. The Hornets football team concluded this season with back to back state championships to their name. Additionally they completed this season undefeated. The Mighty Hornets won 11 games including the championship game. This team is a great one. You don't achieve titles such as state champs and undefeated by being an individual.
