Discussion of a Dollar Store in Burns was on the agenda at the Burns Town Council meeting held on November 27th, 2023. The Burns town council has heavy hearts for the town of Burns concerning Heaven Appleman. The Town of Burns hosted a food drive for the local residents to help for the holidays. This was spearheaded by Kelly Groeneweg. Groeneweg has had a food drive for Burns since 2020. Heaven Lee Appleman was a caring and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She returned to the arms of Jesus on November 14, 2023 at age 35. She was born to Theodore Kellner and Patricia Morrison on November 3, 1988 in Laramie, Wyoming. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the Pine Bluffs Methodist Church with Pastor JR Atkins officiating. Wyoming families facing hunger received a boost mid-November with the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation (WyFB) Young Farmer & Rancher (YF&R) Committee "Harvest for All" project.
