    The Laramie County School District #2 teacher of the year of 2021-2022 is Amber Barrett. She teaches second grade at Burns Elementary School. This award comes from a committee of educators throughout the district who look at different teachers. The committee decided Barrett was energetic and passionate.     A short and sweet meeting ensued on November 22, 2021, at the Burns Town Council. For new business there were two items on the agenda. The first was the use of the community center and who gets charged. As for the rate it is $20 per hour or $100 for the day. There was some discussion of the non-profit organizations and liability insurance. To be fair to everyone the board voted that everyone pays. The Wyoming Stewardship Project is a seven-year pivotal project put on by Wyoming Agriculture in the Classroom.
