  • Use it or lose it

Jimmie Earls, Pine Bluffs Post Editor|Dec 15, 2016

Texas Trail Market General Manager Bill Cushing didn't mince words when he addressed the co-op membership Monday night. "We could lose this store," he said. "This past year has been kind of a disaster because we are still in the red. Our sales were down $124,000. Even with that loss, from the beginning of the third fiscal year on October 1, every week's been pretty much down in sales. So it's not looking very good." The store recently sent out surveys asking patrons what they would like to see...

Laramie County Sheriff’s Deputy Char Madden had one of those out of the ordinary days on October 29. “Deputy (Ryan) Montgomery and I were out off County Road 228, about 30 to 35 miles out on US-85 just finishing up on a different unrelated call,” Madden said. “We were doing paperwork in the car when a couple gentlemen pulled up in a pickup. The driver got out and asked for help and he...

  • From Saratoga to UW football and back home

    Bill Sniffin|Dec 15, 2016

My new favorite baseball cap says “Wyoming versus BYU,” except that this cap is 20 years old from the 1996 WAC football championship held in Las Vegas. We were at that game and now it is Déjà Vu all over again. Wyoming is again playing BYU, this time in a bowl game on Dec. 21 in San Diego. Not sure we can make that one, but as I write this in a Laramie motel room (where the temperature is -20 on Dec. 8), the thought of sunny San Diego sure sounds good. Legend has it that cities that host bowl...
