    The town of Albin city council is at the end of their rope with the burn pile in town. The council had a discussion about it at the Albin Council meeting on December 12, 2024. With Christmas and New Years in the middle of the week the question of keeping the lunch room open was on the table. The cost of the food is not worth it. Several groups in Burns got together at the Burns Community Center Senior Center for an event. Laramie County Fire District #6 was in control of the fire for the s'mores.     Dennis I. Mercer passed away peacefully at Davis Hospice Center on December 10, 2024, at the age of 82. Dennis was born December 7, 1942, in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming to Doris and Marie (Greenan) Mercer. Dennis married his high school sweetheart, Vida Haines on January 27, 1962. Dennis retired from US West Telephone Company after 30 years of service. He was affectionately known to many as "DI".
