The Texas Trail Market of Pine Bluffs held its annual co-operative meeting and Christmas party on Dec. 8. Store manager Bill Cushing, who will be celebrating his 18th year of service with the business in April, said that sales increased nearly four percent over the past 12 months. Total sales for 2014 were in excess of $2 million, and the store made a profit of $28,460. The Pine Bluffs Town Council met for their last meeting of the year Dec. 15. A hot topic of discussion was whether the town’s offices would be closed on New Year’s Eve or Jan. 2, 2015. Members of the Pine Bluffs Lion's Club, FFA, and the Louis E. Canady American Legion Post No. 60, got together last Thursday morning to distribute food baskets as part of the Empty Stocking program.
