    The Burns FFA Chapter recently competed in the LCCC Rendezvous Days Livestock and Horse Judging competition held at the LCCC Arena Sept 26th, 2022. The competition was fierce with Junior High and High School teams coming from across the State to get in an early practice competition early in the school year.     The motorcycles were lined up at the Knotty Pine Saloon. Every year they honor their fellow firefighters lost on 9/11. The Red Knights have 38 members who work as firefighters, linemen and other jobs. This year they started out in Kimball, Nebraska with 50 riders. At the end, they had up to 62 riders.     The skies were buzzing with planes on Saturday. The Town of the Pine Bluffs put on an open house and fly-in event at the John Marquardt airport. Most people in the area did not realize that Pine Bluffs has an airport. In fact, the airport is considering an Intermediate airport.     The November General Election takes place Nov. 8, but voters can cast their ballots early beginning Friday, Sept. 23, when the Laramie County Clerk opens the polling site in the atrium of the county building at 309 W. 20th St. in Cheyenne.     The John K. Marquardt field at Pine Bluffs Municipal Airport has a new manager. Kevin Marquardt is stepping into his dad's shoes. The Pine Bluffs Town Council had appointed Marquardt as manager at the beginning of the summer. In the late 1960's, Marquardt's father was instrumental in building the airport.     There is a new business at the airport. Mark Michaud started Michaud Aviation at the airport. He will be working on planes as a mechanic. Michaud always wanted to learn to fly planes for most of his life. At age fourteen he started working to save up money for his private pilot's license.     The food is in boxes and ready to go at the Burns food pantry open every Wednesday. It all started about two years ago when Needs Inc. based in Cheyenne called the Shepherd's Closet to see if people needed food.
