Sheep are a vital part of medical research to improve the human condition. Sheep were some of the first animals used for successful blood donation (in 1667!) and womb transplants (in 2007), and were also used to create art...

Fires, explosions, floods, tornados, hail, and other disasters can destroy peoples lives and houses in a moments notice. But in most areas the people have the American Red Cross to help. The American Red Cross was established in 1881 by Clara Barton. It was about the mission of the American Red Cross during the height of World War II to support “the hour of greatest need”. It is an organization that provides emergency assistance, disaster relief, and disaster preparedness education. One of the first disasters was the Johnstown Flood in May 31,...

On board was Jae's Story chapter 1. The question on everyone's mind was, what was chapter 1. Seeing Andrea Allen on the sideline had questions in the students minds. Last year Andrea Allen introduced the Cole foundation with others. Cole Allen was her son, who committed suicide. Friends and family never...

"Well, doc," the patient was telling me, "I get winded so easily now. I can hardly go to the mailbox without stopping to catch my breath. It did not used to be that way. Do you think something is wrong?" Many of us have experienced shortness of breath. After a period of inactivity, such as winter or a busy month, when we decide to exercise again, it may be easier to feel winded. That experience can be due to deconditioning, feeling out of shape. A good remedy for that is a gradual increase in...

When you drive across this state, what you see is unlike almost any other place in this country. I've spent time touring agricultural operations around the world and there are very few places, if any, like the state of Wyoming. The open spaces, the dedication of our producers, and the communities they help sustain feel different than almost any you'll come across anywhere. As you drive, you'll see cattle spread across the range and long periods of uninterrupted views of the land. That's just...
The word art brings up questions to be curious about. True Troupe had put a play on at the Little theatre in the Pine Bluffs Historic High School on Saturday March 23rd. True Troupe is from Cheyenne, they put on different plays throughout the year. ART was the name of the play. It originally came from Paris in 1994. It is a comedy about three friends with some drama. A person in this region would question modern art at any point. A lot of people in Wyoming are used to western art vs modern. This...
