At the request of Sheriff Brian Kozak, Laramie County Commissioners approved funding positions for our School Resource Deputy (SRD) program. Sheriff Kozak and the administrative staff developed an SRD policy based on best practices from the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) to clearly define what roles deputies will have within our schools. Every year the Hillsdale Ladies invite the community to have some late winter fun. They have a fundraiser for scholarships for Laramie County School District #2, which includes Burns High School and Pine Bluffs High School. The big event of the night was the swearing in of the mayor and the new council member. Town Lawyer Greg Hacker, swore in Joseph Nicholson as mayor. The town of Pine Bluffs city council met on Monday evening. The council members approved the Alcohol request for the Community Center and the Building Permit for the high school for the gymnasium addition. After a short discussion on some of the lots on the north side development plans, the council voted to approve the final plat for the development.
