    Torrington, Wyo.—Jan. 18, 2024—The University of Wyoming Extension will offer six private pesticide applicator education programs at various locations in southeast Wyoming Feb. 6 through March 6, 2024. Private applicator licenses are required for anyone who applies or supervises the application of Restricted Use Pesticides (RUPs).   • Cattle accident brings out the local help

    Wednesday morning saw a big crash at mile marker 401 on Interstate 80 at 7:35 a.m. It was a very windy day. So the possibility of accidents was high for the day. Laramie County Fire District #5 was just finishing cleaning up an accident before the second accident occurred. This accident consisted of a cattle hauler that had been laid over. There were 75 head of cattle in the trailer of the semi. The driver had some minor injuries and was transported to the hospital via ambulance. This time of...

    Getting ready for the New Year was what the Albin council was doing at the meeting on January 11th at 7:00 p.m. At the first meeting town meeting the year the council affirmation was approved.     At the end of the year the tally is added up for what had happened throughout the year. Laramie County Fire District #6 had their annual meeting for the beginning of the New Year. This meeting is looking back on how the whole year went. Last year the calls had increased compared to the past. There was at least around 268 calls. That averages out to at least five calls a week.
