Rawlins, Wyo. – Due to a technical issue with our ePlanning site, today the Bureau of Land Management restarted the 30-day public comment period for the proposed Tallgrass Southeast CO2 Sequestration Project. If approved, Tallgrass could store carbon dioxide (CO2) in approximately 480 acres of sub-surface federal pore space in Laramie County. The comment period will now close Oct. 10, 2023. CASPER, Wyo. (September 12, 2023) –Yellow starthistle, highly invasive weed, was discovered on private land in Natrona County in August. The Natrona County Weed and Pest District (NCWP) is currently overseeing the management and eradication of the weed. Now, the area is fenced off to keep most wildlife and all livestock out. The boy can not sit still. Trigg Sedman lives in the Carpenter area and goes to Carpenter Elementary School. His family has been in the community raising beef. The Sedman name is always helping in the community. His mother and father have a food truck called Wally's Wood Fired Pizza. Sedman helps as much as he can. The stands were full of people and the animals were prepped for the day. At the end of the of the county fair the 4-H kids had an opportunity to sell their animals. There were over 67 animals sold in this part of Laramie County which includes Albin, Pine Bluffs, Carpenter, Burns, and Hillsdale. The 4-H members went in to the stands introducing themselves. The STEM Girl Scout van came to Pine Bluffs. It was to promote Science Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics programming. This van has been a project for a two and half years. This will be a way for the Girls Scouts program to reach girls in the rural area. This summer the van had traveled through Montana and Wyoming. Over 7,000 miles to different communities. Pine Bluffs Senior Center is hosting a free class at the senior center. It is free for low income or persons getting assistance. If they qualify for SNAP, or free and reduced lunches the family can participate.
