    After a successful tournament last weekend, the Lady Hornets took their 3-1 record to Bridgeport, Nebraska for a non-conference match against the Lady Bulldogs. The Nebraska season started a bit earlier that the Wyoming’s season, so the Bulldogs have a few more games under their belt than the Hornets.     The Burns/Pine Bluffs Lady wrestling team took fourth place in the Charlie Lake Wrestling meet.     Shawn Shmidl is a member of the 2024 Wyoming State Football Champions Pine Bluffs Hornets. He has been a member of the team since his freshman year and has received three championship rings out of his four seasons.     Ethan Bomberger, an offensive and defensive lineman for the Pine Bluffs Hornets has been named as the Wyoming State 1A nine-man Lineman of the Year. Bomberger played both sides of the ball and was a major factor in the Hornets reaching and ultimately winning the state championship. Bomberger had a total of 61 tackles in the season.
