Burns homecoming was a win in many ways. The volleyball game was touch and go with the three sets. The Lady Broncs spiking and setting to the Lady Hornets with their return back. The hearts of both teams were working hard to win. Bottom line, the Lady Broncs had better control of the ball than the Lady Hornets, and it was a sweet win for Burns Homecoming. We were supposed to run in the Leroy Sprague Invitational at Prairie View Golf Course this week as we have for roughly the past 10 years, but 2020 has been all about changes on a dime and we had one this week. Pine Bluffs vs Lusk Saturday Oct 3rd, and for the month of October the volleyball girls are wearing pink to represent breast cancer month. On October 2nd the Wheatland football team visited the Burns Broncs for a Friday game. The Wheatland team was just too much for the Bronc’s as they played their way to a 53 to 0 victory over the hard playing Broncs. The Bronc’s ran the ball 33 times for a total of 54 yards. Pine Bluffs Lady Hornets won their conference game against Glenrock on the road Friday, Sept. 18 for their second win in a row. “It was a great team win” said Wynema Engstrom, head coach.
