While the Southeast Cyclones came out strong, by the end of the first quarter the Hornets had tied the game 14/14. The second saw a back and forth scoring effort, but by the end of the second the Hornets had pulled out a six point lead. The Pine Bluffs Hornets pulled out two wins at the Taco Johns Invitational this weekend. The Hornets started out the weekend with a win over Niobrara County touting a 91-50 score. On Friday the Hornets hosted the Lander Valley Tigers and keeping up the momentum edged out a 64-63 win bringing their season record to 5/3. Saturday’s game between the Burns Broncs and the Southeast Cyclones saw the Broncs pop out early with a three pointer, but by the end of the quarter the Broncs were struggling to keep up as the Cyclones touted an 18 to 7 lead.
