BURNS — Arguably the nicest weather for track this year set the stage for the Burns High School track and field invitational last Thursday. And the Broncs took advantage of it as team members put up several strong performances to earn third place. They were led by Wyatt Ebben and Tyler Norris, who each won an event. BURNS — It was a good day to be a Lady Bronc at the Burns Invitational track meet last week. Piper Perez ran the 400-meter in 1:05.84, earning first place. Her teammate Layne Burnett dominated mid-distance events with wins in both the 800-meter and 1600-meter runs (2:40.15 and 6:07.87). The 2018 Pine Bluffs track team is coming off with a great start to the season winning their first two track meets at Kimball and Bayard. The Kimball meet had six teams there and the weather was perfect for Pine Bluffs to run away with the win. The track meet in Bayard was a completely different story. Smith who bowls on the Tuesday Men's league at Pine Bowl on the team "Wyoming Malting" experienced his first ever perfect 300 game.
