  • Burns graduate named MVP

    Dawnna Merryfield|Nov 30, 2017

The Eagles had one First Team honoree in left tackle Travis Romsa. The junior from Burns, Wyoming, named the team's MVP in 2017, was instrumental to an Eagle offensive line which finished as the best unit in the league at preventing quarterback sacks. Romsa and the rest of the CSC offensive line poked holes in the opposing teams defense which paved the way for the CSC backfield. The talent and dominance of this line enabled Derek Jackson to run for over 1000 yards this year.... Full story

  • The Perfect Season

    Dawnna Merryfield|Nov 16, 2017

The Hornets football team concluded this season with back to back state championships to their name. Additionally they completed this season undefeated. The Mighty Hornets won 11 games including the championship game. This team is a great one. You don't achieve titles such as state champs and undefeated by being an individual. They work together, from the coaches to the lineman on the field. They are a team and constantly show you why they deserve these titles. The Hornets are a very selfless... Full story

    Compiled by Dawnna Merryfield|Nov 16, 2017

Kyle Thurin #40 PBH TE/LB "This season I think we all played very well with all of our teamwork, dedication and hardwork. When we were close to losing I just thought to myself that we shouldn't have a problem doing this and that we needed to march down the field and score again. The moment of the season I will remember most was state because that was the game I played as hard as I could. The only thing I would want to change about this season is the speed I learned the plays. I didn't learn... Full story

The Pine Bluffs Hornets have been very blessed with their four coaches. They have managed to keep all of the hornets... Full story

    Dawnna Merryfield|Nov 9, 2017

Last weeks game Pine Bluffs vs. Upton-Sundance was a tough one. Not only was it a chilling 36 degrees at kick-off, but both teams were evenly matched in the sense of player's skills and abilities. Not scoring until the 2nd quarter made for an intense game. The coaches on both teams and all the parents were on edge. In the first quarter neither teams managed to score any points but they played hard. At kick off Upton-Sundance's #46 Landon Martin kicked the ball to the 15 yard line with a return... Full story
