Local resident Refugio Cerenil competed this weekend in the USA Powerlifting Championship in Casper, and while he wasn't able to bring home a medal, he was able to out perform two of his own personal best records. The boys stumbled a bit on Friday with a 52/71 loss to Big Horn, and came back to end the weekend with a 80/39 win over Glenrock and a 69/91 win over Sundance. Bowlers from all over the tri-state area competed in the Top Gun Scratch Tournament on February 29, and March 1. There were 62 bowlers from around the tri-state area competing for the top honors. On the first day, Saturday, bowlers were eliminated until they were down to 12 bowlers. Sunday, the 10th the top 12 bowlers set a good pace. The Pine Bluffs Hornets are riding high after winning their last three games. Tuesday, February 11, saw a win against Kimball with a final score of 85/48. The Hornets then faced the Southeast (Yoder) Cyclones and came away win 77/50 win, and finally the Hornets managed to stomp the Glenrock Herders on Saturday with a 85/21 win.
