    The Pine Bluffs Hornets improved their record to 5-1 with a shutout 32-0 win last Friday over Southeast in Yoder. "I thought the kids played well," said head coach Will Gray.     The Pine Bluffs Lady Hornets went 3-0 last week, sweeping the competition to improve to 15-4-1 on the year. They knocked off Lingle, 3-1 (25-23 25-18 22-25 25-17).     On Thursday, Oct. 6 the Pawnee Coyotes traveled to Prairie and lost in three games. Coach Mary Burson said, “Pawnee Coyotes fell short of any wins against Prairie. The Coyotes just couldn't get it together to come up with the wins.     The Pawnee Coyotes football team traveled to Longmont, Colo., for a non-conference game against Longmont Christian, adding another win to their season over the Warriors 83-13. “It was a good game to let some players get some action in different positions,” Pawnee Coyotes Head Coach Doug Miller said of their win. “All nine of the players played on both sides of the ball and contributed a lot.” The first quarter saw Pawnee put up 32 points on the scoreboard compared to the Warrior's 13 points.     After being handed their first loss of the season last week at the hands of Upton-Sundance, the Pine Bluffs Hornets came back nicely with a decisive 48-22 victory over the visiting Wright Panthers last Friday.
