Pine Bluffs High School's Hunter Thompson was recently named Laramie County Male Prep Athlete of the Year by WyoSports.com. Pine Bluffs Track and Field head coach Dustin Lee was selected by the Wyoming Coaches Association as their 2016 2A Track and Field Coach of the Year. A pair of local bowlers came back with state titles from the Wyoming Mens State Bowling Championship held in Lander, Wyo. The best Wyoming high school athletes in the state for the 2016 Boys Outdoor Track and Field season have been named by the Wyoming Coaches Association. There is no voting for all-state. The honor goes to the top two athletes in each individual event and the winning relay team. Last Friday was a perfect day for Burns Jr/Sr High School to host the SEWAC track meet for the first time. The Knights of Columbus recently held its annual golf tournament the weekend of May 7. Fifty-two people turned out from the event, including participants from Laramie, Upton, Cheyenne, Torrington and Loveland, Colo.
