    The Panhandle Senior Women's Golf Association held their latest outing at Scenic Knolls Golf Course in Mitchell. The team of Jane Holechek, Karen Koch, Ellen Ramig and Chris Lapaseotes took first place and secured five birdies. Second place went to Marlys Delle, Phyllis Greenwood, Sandy Huckfeldt and Margaret Lienemann who captured four birdies.     The Friday Night =G Rodeo series resumed in Pine Bluffs last week, with cowboys and cowgirls from all over the states of Wyoming, Colorado and Nebraska. One cowgirl was from Colorado by way of Florida. Despite the cold, damp windy weather the rain stayed at bay, and all of the events were completed, although the Steer Riding and Open Bull Riding events did not pay out as the steers and bulls were in rare form, and not one of the riders was able to stay on for the required six or eight seconds....

    Pine Bluffs High School boys' team made sure that they placed in the top three at this year's state track and field meet this past weekend, scoring a total of 57 points. The underclassmen, especially, showed their spirit with junior Jorge Garcia placing fourth in both the 800m and 1600m Run, and second in the 3200m Run, which entitled him to a place on the All-State team.     The Wyoming Coaches Association named more than 50 athletes from the 2A Division to the 2015 WCA All-State in Outdoor Track. Among those named were six from Burns High School and three from Pine Bluffs High School.     The Burns High School boys' track and field team made school history this past weekend, bringing home the schools' first state championship. Burns placed first in the team standings with 87 points, 20 points more than the second place team, Thermopolis, which had a cumulative total of 67 followed by Pine Bluffs with 57 points.     Luke Duggan and Bryce Schnug brought home the honors from the Colorado State track meet in the Class 1A division May 14 and 15..     The Burns Broncs and Pine Bluffs Hornets traveled to Scottsbluff last week to take part in the Best in the West meet at Scottsbluff High School.
