    Despite a late fourth-quarter surge, the Pine Bluffs Hornet football team ended their season Friday night with a 28-25 loss to Tongue River. With the loss, Pine Bluffs finishes the season at 3-4 in regional play and 4-4 overall. "I thought the kids gave us everything they had," said coach Will Gray.     The Pine Bluffs Hornets improved to 4-3 in pigskin action last Friday with a 36-21 stinging of the host Moorcroft Wolves. “The kids did a good job of staying focused during the long bus ride,” said Coach Will Gray. “Our secondary played much better.” Pine Bluffs totaled 396 yards of offense, 332 by the run, 64 by the pass.     The Burns Broncs were no match for the undefeated visiting Wheatland Bulldogs last Friday, falling 61-6 in high school gridiron play.     Generally, the weather is unpleasant for the Leroy Sprague cross country race in Cheyenne, but this year it was fantastic! You can’t ask for better weather when running 3.1 miles.
